What is Outpatient Treatment?
Individuals who are receiving treatment for addiction on an outpatient schedule attend rehabilitation meetings and classes at a drug rehab center while living at home. It is mandatory for them to check in with their treatment team every day (minus weekends and holidays) for counseling, classes, appointments, and more.
Not everyone is suited for outpatient treatment. At Intervention Drug Rehab Association, our skilled case managers oversee an evaluation for each client to determine which type of treatment would be best for him or her. The first criteria includes being able to remain sober without supervision for up to 48 hours. It is their mission to neither overtreat nor undertreat any client.
What is Inpatient Treatment?
Those who enroll at an addiction treatment center for an inpatient program must check into the facility and commit to remaining there throughout the duration of his or her treatment program. The length of these program can range from 28-90 days, depending on assessments with each individual’s case manager. At the start of treatment, clients undergo a clinically assisted detox that is designed to make the process both comfortable and safe. Detox is important at the start of treatment because it clears away all foreign substances and allows the body to communicate clearly with the brain.
Following detox, clients are placed into our luxury housing accommodations. While living alongside other clients in recovery, every individual attends therapy, group meetings, drug & alcohol education classes, and exciting off-site activities each weekend. These programs provide around-the-clock care for clients who are not able to maintain sobriety on their own for any length of time, have dangerous symptoms of withdrawal, and/or who reside in an environment that lacks stability.
